I've never made a trip over to Utah,

But I'm sure many of you folks have. I'd like to go see the John M. Browning museum. It got me to thinking 'bout how many Browning designs I have. My Winchester '94 and '92s are sure sweet machines. And my '97 shotgun is still light and handy. My 1911 is a reminder of how ahead of his time Browning was. I don't know if these pistols will ever go out of style. So got any JMB in your safe?

Navy Arms SS 1892 .45colt short rifle; 20" octagon barrel
Puma 1892 .45colt long rifle; 24" octagon barrel
Winchester 1894 .44mag carbine; 16 barrel
Norinco 1897 12g shotgun; 20" barrel
Armscor 1911 .45acp pistol; 5" barrel

I could sure use a BAR.

Three 1911's and an 870. JMB invented the pump, so does the 870 count? I'm not sure if anything else has any JMB in it or not.

I have been searching for a JMB portrait/print but it would seem none are available. I'll have to get the pic off the web and have someone draw him up for me.

Wow,

Great shot Boomer. It's amazing how much he designed.

Boomer, and PCR..

You two really have some sweet pistols, Boomers US&S .45, and that .38 give me wood.

I have my Grandfathers .45 a Colt 1911 made in 1917, and a few Garands, but nothing like you two guys, My dad has a pretty nice collection of Winchester lever actions (about 15 of them) and they are all old as sin.

Well, not too much as far as Browning history is concerned... but I do have a lot of other history

Dou code RC Mauser k98--Suppossedly this is one of the rarer codes, but I'm not sure
SMLE #1 Mk 3--missing front top HG, but other wood appears to be original; if I remember right it's a BSA, dated 1917 or 1918
Greek Return M1--Serial puts it into the 1950s for manufacture, but still lots of history in the stock carvings at least
Japanese Type 38 not too special
Type 99 with a 4 digit serial number (too bad bubba got ahold of it)
Type I--one of only 60,000 ever made--Italian receiver, Japanese caliber, stocks, etc

Several more that don't have tons of history, but I still love them
One more that has personal significance: I have a black powder rifle my grandfather assembled from a kit. He died when I was about 2, so I have no recollection of him. I'll never shoot the thing, I doubt whether it would be safe, but I refinished the stock, and will always hold onto the thing for the memories.

Much in my safe has almost made my marriage history --- does that count?
