How come you Texans make it so complicated getting a Concealed Carry License down there?  Man, training courses before application, training for renewal and between 60 and 180 days waiting for issue?  Then there's all the documents you provide and give them permission to examine:

Two recent color passport photos.
Two sets of fingerprints taken by a Law Enforcement Agency Employee or Non LEO approved Training Instructors.
Copy of your Texas driver license or identification card or number from either of those cards.
Notification of completion form (TR 100) from a DPS-authorized handgun course.
3 initialed, signed and notarized forms:
One (1) affidavit that they have read and understand the law,
One (1) form that gives DPS the right to look at their juvenile records, child support records, tax records (state and local taxes - not Federal Income Taxes), student loan records and mental health records and
One (1) form that says they meet all the requirements ( 21, no felonies, no Class A or B misdemeanors With in 5 years, etc.)
(If you were born outside the continental US, you need some extra documentation, US passport, Alien #, etc.)

You need to live in a more gun friendly state.
