No kidding!!!

I just got back from hunting in Eagle County. I damn near had to check and see if I was still in Colorado.

And yeah, I got my doe at 8 am Saturday.

Where I was, there were 5 hunters for every elk in the area.

I was told that the hunting season brings more $$$ into the state than the ski season does. Is it true?

Pretty close. Guided elk hunts go for 4K+. How many ski unstructers get that for a week of work?
Plus $500 for a bull and $250 for an out of state Elk tag. Big money in many communities, more than they make during the summer tourist season.

Not to mention all the asswipe, food, gas and beer to get here, in the woods, and back home.

I dont get to hunt this year, yay.

I haven't hunted for a few years due to work and health, but may put in next year, has it gotten worse than it was?
