from what I found that gun wasn't even designed until after the ban went into effect so I highly doubt the mags are preban, thus the mags would be illegal in NY

So the law does apply to pistol mags? Ok
Then i guess im not getting a 15 rounder

The law DOES apply.
over ten rounds must have been made before 9/14/94
Any made prior to that date are grandfathered in irrespective of what they're used in.

The SW99 was introduced in 1999, and is based off the Walther P99, which was introduced to the U.S. market in 1996.

Therefore, there are no legal pre-ban (made before the 9/14/94 ban) magazines for these pistols in any caliber.

No, the 15-round mag you're being offered is not pre-ban and therefore is not legal.

Don't feel bad. I'm in the same boat with my PX4/CX4 9mm combo.

And my Walther PPS
And my Glock 30SF.

Just the Glock 19 has prebans....and I'm not paying $50-100 for a pistol mag. NO FING WAY
