Resident of Arizona here, wanting to purchase a handgun.
Now, seeing as how I'm only 19 years of age, I'm not able to legally purchase a handgun from a licensed dealer, this I know. However, as far as my research shows, I'm able to purchase a handgun from a private party and/or any other unlicensed seller. However, I've been denied several good deals on quality firearms sold by private parties due to my age.
If someone could please show me, or post a link to, any Federal or Arizona State law/regulation/statue/rule that states a person over 18 years of age in good standing is unable to purchase a handgun from an unlicensed seller.
After checking out several sites and reading over numerous statues, I haven't found one piece of writing that states someone over 18 years of age cannot purchase a handgun from a private party in the state of Arizona. Could someone please enlighten me as to why those few sellers passed my offers? I'd like to think my cash is just as green as the next person's...
