...I'm going to be up in Schenectady/Albany area Dec 26th & 27th, name me the good gunshops I should visit (assuming there is anything left to buy) and dump some hard earned overtime $$$ in!

I dont know many as I dont go to the way overpriced gun stores. The best one I would recommend is Shooters sports in Valatie. Then Brians stores Guns on rt9 in Schodack where rt9&rt20 split, Guns inc on central ave west of I87, Oak wood on rt 40 north of troy. good luck cause the prices and selection are terrible.

Target Sports in Schenectady is usally OK, but they have NOTHING in stock as far as rifles go... shotguns out the azz, but i was just in there and they had like 1 S&W .223 and 2 S&W .22LRs on the wall... WAY less than a month ago...

I agree, it's pretty slim pickin's....

Done and over. I've talked to people in Alabama and Arkansas. There is nothing there. I doubt there is anything in NY.

Figured as much, visited Chesters, Campsite, and South Shore Sportsman and was disappointed at what was left. Guess I'll be happy with my current inventory of noise makers.

At least they don't all look exactly alike like the black plastic ones do.

Yah, what a paltry selection of guns you have.

Pathetic.

I was at Collector Rifle & Ammo on Friday. This is a really small store with a ton of stuff in it. There is hardly any room for a lot of people. I can't believe the two lines there were, one for firearms, one for ammo & accessories. The ammo line was smaller, at least 14 of us and it took an hour to get out of there. Everything had gone up as they got new supplies in from distributors and stuff was high compared to before. As for firearms, there were no AR's, lot of handgun shopping. Had to park down the road and walk.

Upstate now. Do I even bother?

Target Sports are good people, the g/f picked up a G19 last week from them. I heard they got a couple pre-bans in, but didn't have too much last week when I was there. Taylor & Vadney are right up the street, might as well stop in at both if you go to one or the other. Never been inside.

B&J on Central Ave in Albany, have net been in since mass panic outbreak, always lots to look at.

Zacks in Round Lake, not much left, was in on Sat.

Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.

What can it hurt?

Target sports has become my go-to shop. It's very small, hard to find, but I've always been treated right when I go in there.

Taylor and Vadney may have some stock left, but their prices are going up. They are asking $75 for preban mags.

American Shooter Supply/B&J Guns is probably a better choice (compared to T&V).

I agree, they are nice and helpful, but that's not going to make up for having nothing left to sell...

When i was in there about 3 weeks ago they had about 30 Hi-point carbines and 20 ARs. The last time i was there, basically nothing. a S&W M&P15 .22LR. Maybe they hid them somewhere...?

I hate to say it, but for now it's FTF with people on EE... in NY use NYFIREARMS.com They have a fairly active local EE.
