If I am selling a shotgun to someone in IL, can I send it straight to their FFL or do I need to a FFL to FFL transfer?  Thanx for the help.

You should be able to send it direct.  I'd definatly verify the veracity of the FFL though.

You don't legally need to go FFL-to-FFL (you can go seller-to-FFL), but I'd make sure that the receiving FFL will accept shipments from individuals.

Also, when you receive the FFL copy, check to make sure it's valid at the ATF EZ Check.

don't forget to include a copy of your drivers license for the dealers record books.
