I am already happy, and it is a week away.

Some of my friends and I are going 'wheeling/camping/exploring/hiking/shooting next weekend.  If you see a Dodge Ram, a Toyota, and a Chevy Blazer in convoy heading up I-70 or Central City parkway early next saturday morning, its us.  I really don't know why I am sharing this... but I am anyway!  I guess I am bored, and don't want to do homework for a few minutes.

We hope to get stuck, get un-stuck, see some cool historical Colo. stuff, find buried treasure, and take over the world!    I haven't decided whether I am taking my calculator yet... I probably will, you never know when I might need it.

For those who have to know, I will be packing a 30-30 model 94.

ROCK ON!

Have fun! Always take a calculator, and remember you are never stuck until you are out of gas.

Now, just don't let this happen again, ever.

Welcome.

Range Report.  We left Friday and came back this evening.

We went up past Lamartine<sp? (south of Idaho Spgs.) and tried to find the Lamartine Tunnel.  Instead, we found countless dynamited mines, old sealed and partially caved shafts and declines all over the place.

After not finding the tunnel, we dicided to take a trail from Molly Baun mine area over to Georgetown.  That is a cool trip, but rocky and bumpy as hell.  Watch out for sharp pipes on these trails, as old mine air/water lines are running around.  My buddy popped a tire on an old steel air line on the road.  It was pretty dry, no snow as of yet, but it is rocky and will tear street tires up.

We did some shooting in the National Forest, and explored jeep trails all day.  There are some tight roads up there.  I have a fullsize Ram 1500, it is pretty capable with its 2" lift, but my buddys Toyota could squeeze in any nook or cranny!  He did not have the clearance that I do(which got him high centered), but that Toyota is narrow and short.

I am going to sleep.
