I think the cut-off is October 11 or 12. I just did it today and hsould get my voter card in about 3 weeks.

This will be the first election I've voted in.

I was in Africa during the last election and didn't get an absentee ballot (and my registration expired for NJ without me knowing it).

I'm so looking forward to it this time around.

I filled out the form after downloading it from the net, and I then took it to the MVA, turned it in and that was it. No line or anything... it was simple.

Have been since the week I  turned 18! That was 7 years ago.

I am now registered to vote out here in Colorado....but I could still get an absentee ballot and vote in the MD elections along with voting here in CO.

But I wont, just because its illegal you guys know I never do anything illegal!

Yes we're all aware of how well you walk the tightrope of the law without a safety net. Don't worry though... 9 more days and your someo of your "infringements" will be null and void.

Are you in the woods/mountains right now or are you in a hotel?

Already put in for my absentee ballot.  I wonder how those stupid machines will do this election.  Why change to a system with no records when the old optical, draw a connecting line, system was so simple.

M4, you need to set up a get together this winter in CO.  Skiing and shooting, a bump firing biathlon.

Whats the limit for putting in for an absentee ballot? And can I do it by phone or must I do it in person?

You can do it by fax.  Just search the net for the downloadable form.  I forget the URL, but its some MD state site.  The form gives time limits and contact info.  There should be plenty of time.

I did early voting once when it was too close for an absentee.  I don't know if they still do that or not.

I ma proud to say that I just registered my parents to vote in this election.  I got them to understand the importance of the choice we have to make this November.  To think they have gone their whole lives without voting...

Just called the county board... they said they were a bit behind and I should wait a few more days and it should be delivered. Do these people have a job most of the year? Sheesh!! Excuses excuses...
