Will a galvanized bucket be a good shell etc?

I am  working on a furnace myself.  I am going with an old propane container.  Going to cut the top of after I purge it and use it as a lid.  I am going to be smelting aluminum.

I am going to buy pre-mixed refractory cement and line it with that.  Still have to figure out what I'm going to do for a crucible.

Power Brick in Bogart, GA.  It is about $40 for a 50lb bag.  I don't know where you are located, but I doubt I'll need a whole bag.
