Friendly Holiday Advice

Please, take care of yourself this Christmas.

A recent joint study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Motor Vehicles indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related.

This means that the remaining 77% are caused by a**holes who just drink coffee, carbonated drinks, juices, milk, water, and sh*t like that.

Therefore, beware of those who do not drink alcohol.  They cause three times as many accidents.

I'd feel a bit safer if you'd have a few drinks before heading off to the range.

Today is Christmas tree chopping day for us, y'all be safe.

Ah yes, today is the annual trek to find that just right tree to cut down, perhaps find that lone wandering yote in the right place at the wrong time!

VB, you wouldnt survive if you were single all the time.

Have fun at the range for me.

Setting up our tree with the kids today and cleaning their room. It developed an odor in the last few days.... scared at what I may find.

I could survive. One call to the escort service for a kinky escort that would like to sit in my living room watching the biggest looser while I ignore them an clean my gun for an hour.

This first rifle was all purchased from arfcomers except magazines.

It is Remington 700 adorned with a Wotac scope Mecree stock Knockoff by-pod.

For magazines I had to get them from Alpha as he is the only game in town.

I went with 17 reloads I made of H4595 and some 168 BTHP. The target shown is my from bore sigt to bulls eye target. I love everything abut this ugly fat 700/300wsm.

ETA#2

This second stick is a Howa 1500 in 308 adorned with the package deal Nikko Sterling scope and knockoff by pod . Rifle was chopped of at the 16 inch mark by previous owner and shoots like a pee shooter in dentition. Target is the last five rounds I shot today. It was able to group .750 outside to outside.

Here is the Frii family afternoon AAR.

We used to shoot off of a bench. Decided the prone position would be better in case anything was dropped and it is easier to get her lined up behind the gun.

The stock is way too long for her to shoulder properly.

One of the first times I allowed her to load her own. Closing the bolt on these crickets can be a bitch and she can get it done about 50/50.

The cocking knob on the other hand is a no go at this point.

8/10 shots on paper (about 50') with a lot of my help. Not bad for a four year old!

My 5 hurried shots. The stock is WAY too short for me.

Good job, Frii!
You are a credit to responsible parenting.
My oldest has come to appreciate shooting a rack of plates with my Kimber CDP with Kimber Rimfire Conversion Kit.
The future of responsible, skilled shooters is in our hands.

That looks like a good start to a New Year's Eve dinner.  Just gotta add some green chili to it.

Proud dad moment of the evening:

Lil miss sees a spare flip up rear site on the desk. Picks it up and asks what it is for and I explain.

She looks at it and I let her play with it a minute. Then she looks at me and says, I want this on my gun dad.

I think we are looking at an upgrade sooner than later.
