Got lucky on a nice buck Friday morning! He was chasing after a doe and 2 smaller bucks!!  I had carried my ar10 in 308 all season but changed to my 300 Weatherby mag to change my luck, and it worked!!

Weatherby Vanguard SS with brake
Nikon 3-9x40, leupold mounts/rings
180 gr Remington Coreloks.... Deadliest mushroom in the woods!
20 yd shot

Where I found him

Damn! That's a nice deer. Mine was just a little 8-pointer, but I got a pretty clean kill.

(.338 Win Mag at 30 yards through the left shoulder and top of the heart. DRT!)

I must say-this is in the running for post of the year (missouri HTF).

You post great pictures along with a description of your firearm and equipment used (specs) and a good story to go along with.  Not a lot of filler or fluff.

Here's to you!  Great buck.

Man! That buck is a hoss! Nice! What county did he come from?

I shot a big old doe last night right at dark. Coincidentally, I also used a Weatherby Vangard, but in .30-06.
They don't go very far when you sever their jugular with a 165 gr. soft point.
