Anyone know of any good classes? I'm looking to learn CQB with my pistol as well as all tactical carbine type drills.

I'm going to go on a limb and say you've never done any sort of handgun training.

I've taken a number of classes with these guys and I can highly recommend them.

The 3-Day Defensive Handgun course is a prereq for pretty much everything else.  Don't waste your time with the Concealed Carry Realities course, just pony up for the 3-Day.

+1 for Defense Associates!  You need their 3-day Defensive Handgun course as a pre-req for their other handgun courses.  After taking this course, I highly recommend Mas Ayoob's LFI 1 4-day course - 2 days of classroom (lots of legal info) and 2-days of shooting. When I took the course it cost $700.  If you successfully pass the LFI course and are ever involved in a justifiable self-defense shooting, Mas will offer his expert services for just his incurred costs (travel, etc.)  No big fee for hiring him!  This alone is worth the price of the course.

The class Defense Associates runs is as follows:

Tactical Rifle Seminar - A convenient weekend format that covers the techniques required to become both an effective rifle marksman and to master it's use for urban self-defense. Includes weapon handling, target engagement from 10 to 50+ yards, field positions, multiple targets, malfunction drills, shooting from cover and more. Most center fire rifles, semi auto, bolt or lever action are suitable.

It is not specifically a carbine class. However, you will find most folks there will be using some sort of AR carbine. Some have done it with lever action carbines and even a couple of Beretta storm pistol caliber carbines. Full length AR-15s as well and don’t be surprised if you see an AR-10.

Field positions include prone, sitting, kneeling and standing. They teach a very cool and effective technique for high-speed sitting. Ready positions include, high, low and patrol.

The class usually starts out with a zeroing exercise, depending on who shows up and how far out of whack their weapon is determines how long it takes. You would be surprised at the number of people who show up at a class with a weapon they never used or haven’t bothered to zero. Once the zeroing is completed things move along, those that show up with crap ammo are SOL. If you are going to take the time and spend the money on a class don’t handicap yourself with cheap ammo.

Safety is strongly stressed.

There were no transitions to a sidearm, it’s strictly rifle/carbine.
