Ordered an ALG defense combat trigger for a stripped CD-15 defense lower, installed the trigger and disconnector but cannot get the hammer and pivot pin through (keeps getting misaligned) and don't want to damage the receiver.

Did you try using a punch to align the hammer while under tension from the spring?

Yeah I tried using a 1/8 punch to help align the pivot hammer but every time I get the pivot pin started it seems to offset the hammer by a couple millimeters preventing me from driving the pin through the hole on opposite side (simply initiating the pivot pin pulls hammer to one side) the ...I've tried a few dozen times and am growing increasingly frustrated...   I installed a DD trigger before and it was not this tight or difficult.

Sloatsburg area...

Does the pin fit through the hammer when not in the receiver?

I'm in warwick. I can take a look at it and see if anything is amiss and try my hand at it, if you want. Hit me up via IM.

Chances are it is something simple or you're just babying it too much. No offense, I'm guilty of it sometimes too.
