Probably be there Saturday morning around 10:00, I usually wait for the initial line to die down, but sometimes it's still long at 10:00.  Nothing special in mind, might get a spray can or two of Breakfree.

I will be there Saturday as well. Looking for some AR parts also. That new bypass through Knightdale saves a good 30min from Knightdale and east Raleigh from Greenville.

Damn, I only ran into Red and JMW. We need to have a better plan.
I saw a Mak-90 go to a gangbanger for $250. My only score was a box of .35 Remington for $15. Did anyone else fare better?

I got there later than expected, went with a coworker and he got caught up in a traffic jam on US1 from Apex.  Didn't see anyone I knew there.

Scores of the day: 6 black teflon coated D&H mags, offered the dealer $80 for 6, they took it, that's $13.33 each :-)  Then bought 2 lower pivot pin detent springs for $1.50

Bushmasters M4 style carbines seemed to be plentiful in the $829-$859 range.

Saw lots of gouging on Colt LEO carbines, anywhere from $1499 up.

Seemed like every other dealer was wearing Blackwater shirts.

Joke of the day was one of the Blackwater wearing dealer offering Colt Match Target M4 MT6400C's for $1999.99.  The collapsible stock didn't appear to be pinned on them.

Wolf 7.62x39 ammo is now $109.99 from the Ammunition store, was $99 last show and $89.99 the show before, time to start reloading again for that caliber.

I didn't make it today like I had planned. Damn, gas prices in Greenville went from $2.33 to $2.50 yesterday within a matter of six hours. I will be there tomorrow though. Looking to buy an ARMS SIR 50SC if I can find one. Anyone have any PRI 6.8 SPC mags at the show?
Link Posted: 8/13/2005 5:45:58 PM EDT
[#18]
Red had a couple of 17rd PRI 6.8 mags. I swear I saw one other vendor with them but I could have just been mistaken.

Lots of neat toys, I didn't go with any money so all I got was 2 x $5 FAL mags.

Nobody had any lightweight barrels. Some guy with Tony's Custom Uppers did but they were attached to uppers. $175 just for the barrel but they were 1x12.

I didn't even buy any Ammo on the CC, as I wound up parking out in the boonies again even though I got there right at 9. I didn't feel like lugging ammo out in the heat. What a slacker.

I should have gotten some more of that Argentine .308, meant to pick up a few boxes of the Wolf .308 just to try it out but like I said, barely enough cash to get in. Some moron didn't stop off at the credit union Friday.

I was halfway thinking about buying one of those AA 6.5grendel uppers I've seen at the last few shows but nobody had them at this one. Thank goodness.

Guess I'll have to get with the plan and go to G'boro at the end of the month. And take some money. I suppose gas will be $3 gallon by then. Anybody want to truckpool?

Hey Les,

I almost considered buying a 6.5 Grendel upper myself but I fired a Barrett 6.8 SPC recently in Winchester VA and now I am hooked. The guy that owned it works with Erinys and is in a PSD in Iraq.I will probably pick up a spare lower tomorrow and order me a DPMS 6.8 upper soon. All I have read about the 6.8 since I shot that one really turned me on to it.

Sorry I missed everyone. I got to the show around 11.

I got a DPMS Dissipator upper from Del-Ton and a complete Double Star lower from Black Rifle Works. I had a sweet shooting AR in 5 min. for $700.

Bought three cases of Wolf 55 gran hp from Ammunition store for $300

Also found a guy selling brand new in the box O-Kay mags for $125 for 10.

When eveything was said and done I headed to Uwharrie for some fun.

FYI if anyone goes today. I forget to mention that Don Upchurch had a Ruger Mk1 for $159. He is on the right side hidden behind a pole.

Looks like I missed out on a good one, but since I just ordered a case of wolf from Midway I really didn't see any reason on going.

I will try to get to the G-boro show next Sunday, maybe see some of you there

I was there today from 12pm to 3pm and man does the parking suck. I had to park near the Holshauser bldg. That big pavillion looking building that is being built looks nice but took alot of parking. Nice to see Dave at BRW, met Red from XRing Precision, and Tony from Del-Ton as well. Traded my Glock 19 for a  FF tube, ARMS #40 BUIS, and VG. Some other guy beat me to an ARMS SIR 50 but now I am looking to build an SPR built soon .
