I don't know how many of you here in kali live in the San Diego are region but I went to the Del Mar gun show today and it was Freakin sad.

Pre-2000 shows were actual shows. they contained four or five buildings. Since then it has been decreasing in size. Last one I went to a couple of years ago they were down to two buildings. Today they were Down to ONE!

ONE! and most of it was just a friggin swap meet. this was really depressing. I am a major gun guy and I am throughly mad at this ulgy truth.

the thing that through me over the edge was that there was a booth selling body armor. I thought that was pretty cool, but they told me that it was in legislation A BAN ON BODY ARMOR. A BAN ON BODY ARMOR! the cops lives are worth more then the PEOPLES they are trying to protect!

Does anyone know offhand how many signatures it takes to make a law pass legislation and go directly into law? Maby if we get some kind of joint effort across the state to pass a law making all these bogus laws null and void. The best part would be that the law would go right under the noses of arnie and all of his liberal friends.

Well besides the good deal I got on ammo, there was one thing that made me less mad. On my way out I saw a square that said "free speech Zone" taht was like 25'X25'. Noone was in it. It was so funny that I almost fell over laughing.

the body armor people have been saying "federal ban on body armor" for civilians for a few years now, they are full of sheeeeeeeit, scare tactics to make a buck. only felons are banned from body armor. those types of dealers should be avoided for just for being liars, theres a few of them around like the knife dealer there that names every military SpecOps unit and says they all use his knives .....coughBULLSHITcough.

the del mar show USED to be good, not sure what happened. many of the dealers no longer go down there cuz they arent making money. i know there are REAL gun people in the SD area but too few show up, there is a lot of  young folks in the military who only know the guns that they are trained with, and dont have much money to spend, and theres the swap meet people who wander in and do nothing. strange crowd really, and not many LA/OC people will travel that far for a lack luster show, the show is really catering to the SD people and no one else.
another reason is that many of the military people who would show up are out of the country at the moment.
i always said they should move the show to riverside or san berdo.

also what you are seeing is EXACTLY what the DOJ and politicians want to happen, make it too much of a pain to deal in guns, and no guns at the gun show means no more gun show. DOJ agents are at EVERY GUN SHOW IN KALI, and have arrested more than a few for not doing paper and paying the state $20 on a .22 rifle for there kid, or when buying a $3000 custom big bore hunting rifle. YEP they are catching REAL CRIMINALS

Riverside City stopped having a gun show at the convention center 5 years ago due to some bs.

San Bernardino has a gun show at the Orange show fairgrounds, but it is on its last legs. The fire dept arrested a ammo vendor because he was selling primers and powder. Confiscated thousands of dollars in components.

Victorville has a decent show, but like most other Kali shows they aren't all that great

I'll be in Vegas next sat checking out the XRoads show at the Tropicana

I'd love to go out of state to a REAL gun show, but where do I find the scheduals for shows like that?

You can find a pretty comprehensive list in the back of SGN.
I went to one in San Jose today.  I know that they want you to haggle, but the prices are pretty unreasonable.  It sucks that alot of the dealers just want to take advantage of the first time buyers, trying to beat another Kalifornian ban.
The neutered ar's, were going from 1300.00 and up, I about choked.  The best deal there was on the beef jerky.

I thought about going to the SJ show, but I've never found much there.

You mean lancaster? Yeah, it sucked

Victorville one is this month 25-26 weekend.

It can be an ok show.

I'll be in Vegas on sat checking out the Crossraods show. After the show I am going to go drown my sorrow in some free drinks and blow a grand at the MGM
