Theres a gun show this weekend at Boulder county fairgrounds in Longmont . I haven't been to a show in years ........ I think I might buy some ammo .

I went to a show at the fair grounds in Jannuary, and it was a little dissapointing. It was pretty small, and there wasn't anyone selling any ammo I needed.

The Tanner Show in in Denver was a lot better.

Let us know how it is, maybe this one will be better, being a lot father from Christmas.

It's pretty small, but I always go just to keep them alive. I live like 2 miles away.
last couple times the ammo guy was there and he has decent stuff.

3 times ago a guy was there with some awesome high end shotguns. haven't seen him since though.

How does it compare with Tanner and Cross Roads?
Link Posted: 2/17/2006 7:11:02 AM EDT
it's Itty bitty. Proably not even a 100 tables. Could be closer to 50. It's small
it just happens to be close to me.

I heard on the radio its a doller off if you bring a gun. Is that true? Also will they have ar-15 stuff, or just hunting/handgun stuff?

Would it even be worth making the drive up from Parker? Or should I just save my money and buy somethin' real nice at cross roads (I think it's at cross roads) on the 4th?

I wouldn't think so , as the Tanner shows are bigger and closer to you .

It's close to me .

Does the dollar off deal count if you carry concealed?

never know what you'll find , but for sure "AR-15 items" cause that is pretty broad . I dont think they'll have the guys with tackle boxes full of every part in one

Gunshow update : $5.50 to get in .

7.62 x39 Ammo Less than 2,000 rds TOTAL , and $8 bucks a box of wolf ! One guy had one

spam can of chinesse FMJ 600 rds 195 Bucks . he did have the Wolf Brass case stiff but $8.00 a box

Not one AK in the place , I saw two SKS's Yugo's

A guy had 7.62 x 54R spam can 440Rds for $37.00 That sounded like a decent deal it was Albanian .

The Reloading guy wasnt there , the mag dealer guy was .

No large assortment of ......anything no real dealers . except for one fellow had a table full of Sigs S&W handguns

$450 for a used glock 17 .

I got to go squeeze the ol lady out of 25 bucks and go get my "catch of the day" , a used A-75 9mm Mag. / fingerrest floor plate ! 25 Bucks!!! Whoo Hoooo

But if you want some Indian Jewlery , they got it . It did feel good to go to one anyway .

The show was/is laaaaaaame. My favorite M14 parts pusher has stopped going. I bought 3 20 round AR15 mags for $17 each as a consolation prize. 1 Adventureline and 2 NHMTG (Okay) LE marked.

I went, and felt it was not worth my $5.50. I feel cheated. I could have gone to the movies (Matinee) or Taco Bell with that cash.

cross that off the to-do list. are there any good ones here in CO to mark my calendar for?

The Tanners are good (big) 58th and I-25 .
Link Posted: 2/18/2006 8:35:44 PM EDT
when are the shows?

Honestly, as lame as that was, it was bigger than last time.
I was totally bummed that the ammo guy wasn't there.
the guy right by the door had some real nice Colt double actions and a couple wilson 1911's.
But that was about it.
It was lame.
We went off to GunSport (in Boulder) afterwards and got a BRAND NEW (really, no scratches, nothing, looks barely shot at all) 1978 Colt 6" Python
and
a M1A, synthetic stock, 5 20rnd mags, a case, etc.
So, we made his day.
