There will be a Gun Show at the Central Florida Fairgrounds on SR-50 in Orlando on July 3-4. It would be a good idea for all the FHTF members here to meet up, hit the tables and perhaps get together afterwards for some grub to talk, share ideas  and plan for a shoot. I live in Leesburg and I have a friend that is a new AR owner; we'll be hitting the tables there and i hope to see you all. Just look for the guy wearing the LaRue Tactical cap and Multicam trousers - that will be me.

I may be there, just getting off shift on the 3rd and work right down the road. Just moved to Clermont, what range do you usually go to in Lake County?

I might be there.....it's the only gun show worth going to anymore in Flori-duh.  Depends on how I feel.  Disability makes it hard for me to walk distances.  I''ll be wearing a Maroon AR15 shirt and Tan LaRue hat, so say "howdy" if you see me.

I'll be there tomorrow in my FL HTF shirt, blue jean shorts

Question, my first gun show, can I bring my .45, cased and unloaded and try to sell it, or is that bad form/not advised?

Like I was going to make a sign, slap that shit on my back or carry it and try to get it sold.

I've seen guys just carrying rifles and ar's (unloaded) in slings with signs on their back, so you should be ok cased and unloaded.

When you go inside the halls, an LEO will be there to ziptie/chamber checker your barrel.

Sounds like a good group of folks coming up on sat/sun. I might convince myself to drop in on both days.

Just look for the guy wearing the Gucci-Tac Multicam trousers, desert boots, A black T-shirt with the words ONE MAN CAN CHANGE THE WORLD up front and WITH ENOUGH AMMUNITION on the back and a faded OD LaRue cap. I have yet to hear from my friend, so we'll see tomorrow if he decides to join me or if I ride solo from Leesburg, to Orlando.

See you all there.

There's only one place I go in the area to shoot and that's Shoot Straight in Apopka; there's a gun store/range on SR44, call "The Gun Store on 44", but the owner is a douche bag IMHO and I would rather drive to Apopka than go near his place.

Wow, just got back from the funshow, and there was an accidental discharge.

Sounded like a .22 or something small caliber, but went by to where it happened, and a guy had been hit in the lower leg (non life threatening)

I heard someone say the vendor had a briefcase full of guns, went to open it up, and either was fiddling thru the case, or dropped on, and it went off.  Suffice to say, that vendor was asked to pack up.

I was about 20' away, but looking at another table. I agree it was small caliber, but loud as hell in that hall. I heard the dealer handed the gun to a customer who pulled the trigger without checking it. Two were wounded, both in the leg, customer and the ricochet got the dealer. Cops and EMT's were on it real quick. There won't be any law suit...neither has a leg to stand on...

Guess I cleared out be before the nd. That's the second one I have missed in my last two shows. The other was in the parking lot in Melbourne.

I just picked up a blem Spikes lower and bs'd with them for a while since the background check to 20min. Nothing else exciting except for finger-banging an ACR and Scar and deciding I want a Scar. One AR dealer had some billet uppers/lowers from a company vie never heard of for about $250 a set. I decided to pass.

I was near the Spike's Tactical table when the shot rang out; everyopne around me was like...

I literally was there all day, got home 1 hour ago and I am cleaning out the ten 30 round mags I picked up for $10 a pop. Also installing the QD Sling mount on my M16A4 (which I was carrying  all day at the show), prepping the extra KAC rail coversI bought for a trim down and loading up the clean mags with the 150 rounds of .223 from Georgia Arms. I spent most of the day at the large building going from table to table; shaking hands with the regulars that know me, checking out the deal - pelnty to be had... And just wearing my Gucci Tac Multicam pants and people mistaking my WIcked Jester T-Shirt (ONE MAN CAN CHANGE THE WORLD...) for an Obama shirt. ...

Guess they forgot to read the back of the shirt (WITH ENOUGH AMMUNITION)

Okay, I will go again tommorrow, it wil be my last chance to meet you all, just look for a silver 350Z with the BFLs on the sides and a Spike's spider on the back - that;s my chariot. WIll be wearing jeans and my Spike's Tactical "I see your Jihad" shirt and my new BCM hat. You better not get lost now, I do want to meet you all tommorrow.

What kind of mags did you get for $10 a pop? I'm going back tomorrow and will have to keep an eye out.  I think I'll buy a Spike's blem lower tomorrow, just to start a pistol build, until I can decide on the .308 or .223 billet lower.

No clue what I'll be wearing tomorrow, but was wearing a "Silence is Golden" tee today, and camo shorts.

I'll be there tomorrow, Sunday, at 10 a.m. when the show opens.  I'll be carrying around a WASR AK to try and sell if anyone is interested.

Send me a PM.

It's all too common. I've had a gun pointed at me in the same fashion, fresh from a briefcase under a gunshow table.

I wasn't too impressed and told the guy, but the vendor just couldn't comprehend what the big deal was.

Why would you buy beat up usgi mags for $10 when you can get D&H (current mil contractor, I believe) mags brand new for $9 from 44mag. You could also get cproducts mags for under $8.

Just saying

Likewise; finding the usual; expensive junk guns, ammo to the roof, cheap junky knives and tons of beef jerky to feed an entire Chinese Division (got me some gator jerky that was good). Other than that, just picking up some odds and ends for both of my ARs and some ammo to test fire my M16A4 with. Short of it, snide excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the balmy afternoon with a fellow ARFCOMmer. So it was all good.

Good to meet you as well!  The show was decent. I sold a Keltec and bought a few little items. Black Tiger and I are eating at Chili's right now.

He's sitting over there typing something right now. We are being the worlds worst examples of table manners.

I'd be pissed. I've already been shot once by an idiot who didn't check the gun or keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, I don't need it to happen again. Thankfully it was some other guy that got shot in the leg.

I'm surprised it took so long to make the news.

Looks like it was fragments, rather than an intact bullet.
