My first Texas gunshow this weekend.  It was nice (with the notable exception of the ND 12 minutes into the show) but I missed you guys!    No breakfast with the crew, no lunch...

And since I was not a "single chick," no free guns at this one, either... *sigh*

Sounds like fun! I had lunch with Bradd_D and ARH. The gun show was a ways away this weekend...oh and I got to work Saturday...yaay!

How is Texas treating you?

Long time dealer, been around for years, I hear.  Twelve minutes after the doors opened, we were 2 tables away, and BANG!  Seems he was emptying his personal carry piece.  Luckily, the bullet was trapped between thecement floor and the carpet, so it didn't ricochet.  He was escorted out ASAP, and is banned from all future shows.  Shame to get the show started that way... new show in a gorgeous venue, and very few "crap" dealers.

(On a side note, I heard later that he was the only dealer handling Glock parts... I guess he was the only one at the show professional enough... blah blah blah...)

The Arfcommer who organized the show was in a meeting almost instantly with the Embassy/Hilton people, and it looks like they have been reassured that this is not a normal occurrance, and the October show is still a go.

And Texas is treating me just fine, thanks for asking!  Had a promising job interview today, and a couple of other interesting possibilities in the works.  Keep your fingers crossed for me, and pray for me if you are so inclined...
