Picked it up from Hunter Sports. The trigger is so smooth and light, can't wait to try it out..

I am waiting fo 60 rounds of Barrett ammo to come. It was part of the package, but I did buy a pack of match ammo 10 rounds for about $40.00.

It's a Barrett 99 with Pelican Case, Leupoid VX-III scope, Badger 50 rings, Bipod and otis cleaning kit. It is suppose to come with 60 rounds of ammo like stated above.

Looks like a nice rifle and I am sure it is going to kick like a mule.

I like what it says about Maxium range 7,435 yds. I would need the Hubble to see that far...

I figured a VXIII will not hold up. I am going to be putting a NightForce or a USO onto it. I am going to use the VXIII on a AR10

Nice rifle you got there! Good luck with it.

Very nice, I had a 99 for awhile......great rifle.

Then I got an 82 and sold that a few months ago.

Been toying with the idea of getting a CQ, we'll see.

Camp Smith and West Point ranges are possibilities but they need to be organized events.

Man, I kinda wish I met some of these guys. Sounds like a hoot. The only funnies that I run into are 18 year olds shooting an 18in bbl 12 guage from the hip with birdshot at 100 yards...

I didn't know you can people can go to camp smith for a regular shoot or even west point.
I know they hold high power matches up there though...
please fill me in.

Very nice Edpmedic! Good Christmas present. I have never been around a 50 cal when anyone was shooting it. I can only imagine how loud that thing is.

I remember seeing somewhere that there is a long-range rifle range in PA. Where I don't remember. Maybe the guys on the PA board could help you out.

So are you going to reload the 50 cal ammo? Even surplus that stuff goes for over a buck a round. Then again if you can spring for that rifle may not be an issue. Sweet rifle!

MY Barret M82A1 used to sport a Super Sniper optic. Very durable, with a glass laser etched reticle qauranteed not to break under .50BMG recoil. Price is great too. I sold it a couple years back to my friend. Here it is in the lower left, with a few more .50's on the line

I go to PA benchrest 1000 range near Williamsport. Guess will be shooting it there and maybe Camp Smith UpState NY? I think they have a 600yd range there.

I also think Calverton opens their Parking Lot so you get upt to 400-500yds. If you look there are Benches at the top when you pull into the parking lot. I think it was Sat or Sun after 4PM he opens it up when every one is done down range.

Thanks Hoppie...I will have to check into Camp Smith.

I guess your right about Calverton, but the owner said shooting at the top makes it a 400 or 525 yd range. I don't remember. I thought it would only be 325-375 yds looking at it.

No open range, but the HP guys shoot there pretty regular. For 600 yds they have to close a road.

I shot there Labor Day weekend with them in a "fun" match. Shot my scoped M1A in the F-class. It was the 1st time I got to shoot beyond 200 yds.
