The Google search engine has the ability to be personalized. Typical of and favorable, as all Google related things seem to be, it's quite clean and uncluttered.

My preferences include, (read; the way mine is set up) my email inbox (gmail), local weather forecast, quotes of the day, and word of the day. But there are many others sections to choose from, including news, maps, etc.. Make it however you like it.
