The wife and I are heading to a game at Arrowhead stadium the 22nd of this month. So basically we need a hotel that's close and easy to get in and out of with easy access to the stadium. I'm not really familiar with the area. I guess it doesn't even have to be that close, could be 10 or 15miles away if the deal is right or its something special.

It would be great if it was close and had a shuttle that was going to the game. Do not really have a fixed price range, but we don't want to be slumming it. Thanks for any recommendations!

I can't remember which one it was, but last Dec. we stayed at the one across the highway from arrowhead and across the street from Denny's. Very nice and I think it was like $89 or $99 per night.

I think you are referring to the former Adam's Mark. I can't remember what it is now.

It used to be called the "Adam's Mark hotel" but I think the name changed. It's one of 2 hotels right across the street from the Stadium. Stay at one of these 2 hotels and save yourself the 20.00? 30.00? parking fee. And you walk back to your hotel and save yourself the 1hr wait in bumper to bumper traffic, just trying to leave the stadium parking lot......

Damn, I missed the In Before the You'll get carjacked/shot warnings.

But yeah, just be careful, especially if it's a night game. I dunno if they have a shuttle service or not. You should also try to go with a large group if you do walk.

Well I made a reservation at the Drury Inn across the highway from the stadium. I felt like I got really lucky because I checked this hotel a few weeks ago and it was fully booked. Thank goodness for cancellations. Have it for the night before and night of the game. The plan was to walk to the game, but now you guys have got me worried! Is this part of town so bad that I need to be?

Also, any great sights that me and the wife should not miss while were in town? Will be there pretty early Sat morning till Mon morning. I want to go to the Boulevard Brewery, but I understand they are not open on Sat. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

It's a sunday noon game so you should be fine for walking to/from the game. there will literally be thousands of people parking down the street and walking past the hotel. You can easily blend in w/them if needed. You should be back in the room by 4p, relax a bit and be able to go out sun night too if needed. Your hotel has a "gate" for parking but I'd stay "aware" when returning to the hotel at night...

Plaza? (Hanging out w/the rich folk, Carraige rides)
Casino's?
Power and Light District? (Bar's, etc)
GoJo's Japanese Steakhouse (Make a reservation)

What do you want to do? Bar hop? Museums?

The National WWI museum at Liberty Memorial is excellent if you're into that sorta thing. I also like the Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence.

+1 to this, we did this as well. The Dollar Movie theatre is great and while lost we found a little coffee house named Bennetti's. Great coffee!

we always stay father down town (Marriott or Sheridan Suites), but we have vip parking for chiefs games. Vallet is worth not fighting to find a parking spot.
