I have been reading the threads about New Orleans today and WOW it gives you a hell of a perspective about living in the Southwest.
NO alligators NO swampie snakes ( worst we have is the occasional rattlesnake ) More Republicans We live ABOVE sea level The nearest ocean is plenty far away LOTS O' sunshine ETC., ETC.

I hate: Sunshine No rain Desert Prickly bushes/trees. (trees should have leaves not thorns) Reptiles And, the word that shall not me said....... I need to move, maybe Oregon.... |

Oregon’s great! Lived in Tempe for almost 10-years. There are a lot of things I miss about Arizona, my friends mostly. Oregon does have some down sides too, politics mostly. |

ASU has got some fine specimens of sammich makers! Never paid any attention to MCC, but when I worked in Snottsdale and needed to travel south I would intentionally save some time to waste around ASU to watch the round bobbers bouncing around. That's one of the best AZ things: skimpy clothing. Well, great on some people, anyway. Nothing worse than a really fat woman buttering herself up and plopping into a tank top where her fat roll spills out like a scene from the Blob.  Nothing against fat or skinny people, but a little common sense goes a long way in the way one dresses. What they think is sexy is gross - like me wearing a thong to the pool. Even wearing shorts I get people asking me to take the batteries out of my legs to stop blinding them

Born and bred in rural California. Did the city life in California for a few years...ugh! Moved to AZ 10 years ago and love it here! Raising the family here, hope to never leave.

I love AZ but HATE the valley.
In 4 years (when the GF's daughter gets out of HS) we are outta here faster than you can say "OUTTA HERE". Flagstaff or points in that vicinity, here we come! |

Nevada is better. We don't have half the off limit places AZ has. I don't have to leave my weapon in the car to have dinner. If I see a no gun sign in a store, I think to myself, "fuck off". I love to visit AZ, but I wish that I could carry in Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, etc...
