$3.20 in downtown FV at 8:30.
I think the little furriners running that place might just be on the AGs gouger list tomorrow. Other places in town had it at $2.99. |

I called the wife yesterday morning. "Fill up on your way to work!" She didn't. Pissed me off.
 I'm a cheap SOB. Coming home this morning, I saw "cheap" gas at one station. Drove the 9 miles to the house, jumped on the bike, and headed back like a bat outta hell. It wasn't "cheap" anymore. $0.13 jump in 30 minutes. My pickup gets around 20mpg. One of my biker buds at work also has a 4x4 Tacoma T(u)RD.  Tonight, he started to tell me that he was thinking about buying a new car, even though his truck is only a few months old. I said "Scion, 38mpg, around $12K, right?" Kinda made him stumble for words. "Yeah, how'd you know?" "Cause I was looking at them a month ago, while they were changing the oil in the truck at the Toyota place, went home, and told the wife I'm going to buy one, and let the savings on gas make the payment." Or maybe he's banging my wife. Just fucking kidding, mmkay? My VTX gets 40mpg, his Police Special gets around 50, so we could save $$$ by riding to work. Why don't we? Think about it. When do the tater wagons roll through? Evenings Sucks for us night shift guys to get to the parking deck in the morning and see all the bikes the daywalkers rode to work. It was raining like hell at 2230, when we were wanting to ride to work  It cost me around $2 to ride 18 miles to fill up with "cheap" gas. I may have to quit work to save money. That'll get you thinking. |

Regular was $3.41 in Spring lake this afternoon!!! Makes no sence thought in Fayetteville and in Sanford it was right around $3.00

We're at $3.40 for the cheap stuff and $2.99 for Diesel over here.
I did see that one of our local Hadji-Marts had his prices all at $2.99 still. I guess his very old rotating number type pumps couldn't be adjusted for more than that.  The crazy part was that people were still buying up regular and mid-grade first, even if premium was at the same price.  Old textile towns are cool.  CHRIS |

It's like 3.29 down here in Durham, but here's the kicker... There is NO regular gas at the majority of gas stations so it's 3.39 for midgrade.. I pumped 30.00 in my truck about an hour ago after leaving the wildlife office in raleigh, and got 8.8 gallons of gas..... So basically since I have a 11mpg vehicle (1998 4x4 Dodge Ram) that trip to Raleigh cost me 13.56. Not to mention the 25.00 I had to pay to register my boat. I was going to the lake this afternoon, but that's changed. I just don't feel like going anywhere...

corner gas station was $2.59 last Monday, Thursday it was $3.49, yesteday (Saturday) it was down to $3.19.

Poured 2.4 gallons hoarded in one of my gas cans into one of my trucks this morning. Spilt about 0.1 gallon in the process. So much for the gas shortage |

A friend of mine said that some Hadji outside of New Bern had went from $3.29 Wednesday to $4.79 within two hours of coming back from Morehead City. He said that he pulled into a store down the road and told the owner about it. He said that the little RH does that whenever there is a crisis and called the AG after he saw it. I am like maybe the will kick his ass out of the country.
