Savage 300 Winchester Magnum package.. non accu-trigger, detachable mag. Couldn't beat $319.95
  First things to do are put a Timney trigger in and replace the scope with something decent...

I got myself the .30-06 just a week ago... On the EE... $220! ETA: I know I know, useless with out pix.. If you want a picture, scroll up and look at Jonathon's again, minus the bi-pod... |

You did good, .300win mag is one of the best calibers available. I had a Browning A-Bolt in .300WM for years and it always killed what I shot with it.

+106  It really depends on the gun/stock. If it were a Ruger then it for sure would suck, but my Browning absorbed the recoil very nicely. |

I'm not so sure about this thing absorbing much of anything looking at the construction, but we will see. Friday afternoon I'm going to take her out for barrel break in and sight in
