Hiya Fellas,
I was wearing my "TEAM AR15" shirt on SAT at Rodeo, and unfortunately, I did not get to meet anyone from ar15.com. I will tell you why I like to do the Rodeo show. First, the AC.  You all know why that means something to me as a promoter. Second, Security. We had extra security in place to avoid and detur any vehicle break-ins or any other hub-bub.  We had ZERO issues by the way. Third, we have been limiting by attrition the "miscellaneous" vendors at this show. I have a headhunter out there bringing new gun and knife dealers to our show. Tejas Gun Werks was new for Rodeo. Finally It is a smaller show and I can get better time with our vendors and customers to hear what it is that they want. This is a tough time of year for shows, however, many dealers last weekend did very well. We have added a show at Rodeo for NOVEMBER 5-6, 2005. I know that is opening weekend for deer season, but it has historically been a good show.
OK., about Frisco. We have been SOLD OUT for dealer tables for almost a month with VERY LIMITED miscellaneous vendors.
AR15.com members- PRINT THIS OUT AND BRING IT WITH YOU FOR $2 entry fee to this show. Not $2 off, $2 ENTRY! Get there early! There is free parking along the street and at the mall, but they have a parking deck that they charge for parking. Ask for me when you are there, I look forward to meeting anyone from AR15.com. Please email or post with any questions. [email protected]
Thanks,

I was there. Thought it was a good show. I'll be at Frisco too. How many tables there?

Gotta comment on the deputy who was tying guns Sat morning. He tied my AR15 so tight that the plastic tie cut into the expensive teflon finish--after I told him not to pull the tie so tight because it would do that. Definitely a jerk--seemed to pull it even tighter after I told him. If he's there next time you will want to be present for our discussion. You can find better help, trust me.

Actually, this wasn't my first time there.  It was the first time in years though.  It was Spreadfire's first time.  I made the reservations for the both of us, so he isn't on your list.

I have a headhunter out there bringing new gun and knife dealers to our show.

Kudos to your headhunter, Bryant.  He does a good job.  Pass that along to him.  We will be at the Big Town Show in about a month.

I sure do wish you could get Big Terry of Shooter Surplus Supply out there.  Every now and then, he's at Big Town, but I'd like to see him around here more often.

Silly question:  Since CnL and I would be going together, do we each need to print a copy (as in one coupon per entry) or will one do for both of us?

If you would, print one for each person to get the discount. It will help me keep my books straight.

Here are the directions to the Embassy Suites Frisco Conference Center

The center is awesome. I am sure it will be impressive.
See you there!

I was there. I was wearing a blue T-shirt with the letters NRA on the front.
It was cool and was a good show.

I can't believe we've skipped the most important gun show event.

Where and when at the show are we all meeting?

 Where we going for lunch?

 Personally, I'd rather skip Todai.

The parking is $6, however if you want free parking, go around the side and there are two open fields for public parking. I rented two 6 passenger golf carts to shuttle if you don't want to walk. I tried to work out a deal with parking, but no go from them.

THE FOOD THERE IS GREAT.  IT IS A BIT PRICEY, BUT BEATS ANY OTHER GUN SHOW FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD, AS IF THAT IS HARD TO DO.....

This is next to the Rough Riders baseball stadium right? Could just park at Stonebrair mall and walk over, yes?

Can someone tell me what I'm suppose to be printing here? Is there an Attachement that I'm missing, or are we just talking about printing the whole thread?

I never thought I would see guns and carept in the same venue..

Nice and cool in there, clean facilities.

Nice to get some golf cart transportantion if you had to park out a ways.

Plenty of parking up close if you got there early enough.

The guy that almost shot someone hhhmmmm I was on the other side of the room but there were many
people in between us.

I have not been at a show were that has happened before, this was the buzz of the crowd after that.
They escorted the guy out of there pretty quickly.

Nice deal for two dollar admission.

Not any spectacular deals, I was looking for an AK.

Met with Hun and his lady, shot the breeze....
pun intented.

Better to name the offender, than to play guess the dealer and pin it on an innocent dealer. But if you do not want to say, OK with me, just giving my reason for naming names.

One more thing on this ND.

This happens it seems, several times a year at one show or another. I think it will continue to happen until someone is killed, or the perpetrators are dealt with severely. By that I mean, there was clearly a 30.06 sign at the show, instead of being "asked to leave", why was this person not carted off in cuffs with a 30.06 violation? Same thing at Market Hall last year, they just told the joker to leave, when they should have had him arrested.

Good time at the show today!  Matthew, nice to meet you and the Mrs., and thanks for the $2 tickets!

We were only 2 tables away from the asshat and the ND.  Scared the bejeezus out me for a second!

Looking forward to the next show!  Hopefull by then I will no longer be in the ranks of the unemployed, and will have some money to play with.  (I did get to fondle all three pistols on the wish list, so that was nice, even if none of them got to come home with me!)

Didn't get a chance to meet Matt, but I did get in for $2.00 thanks to him !

I was presently surprized in that the show was larger than I expected, they had ammo, plus there was only a limited number of 'crap tables'.

Just my $.02
