I was eating at the Tilted Kilt yesterday and found a tagless dog running around the parking lot. It was dirty and smelled bad and granted the only thing close to that area is apartments and a retirement kinda village. Turns out the retirement village has no dogs and the apartment complex office is closed till tomorrow. It felt like the dog had been lost for a couple days as it was very hungry and thirsty. Anyways it's a female yellow lab, vet staff claimed the dog to be under 1 year.My number was left with the vet inside Petsmart, a local found listing was posted on craigslist and blasted across facebook. The dog is extremely well behaved for it's age and has obviously been trained as it knows general commands. She hasn't indicated any problems being around other dogs and doesn't appear to be possessive with food or toys. I gave it a bath and spent last night with my gf and is staying here with me for the night. I don't know that I or my girlfriend will be able to keep this dog and have 2 MIGHT's from people I know. I'm just trying to put together some options for this dog as I don't want to take it to a shelter.

Beautiful Lab, and the look in her eyes of a great loyal intelligent dog.

Did the vet scan it for microchips?  If not, take her somewhere that can.  And depending upon the scanning capabilities of the vet, they may not be able to scan for all manufacturers.

Red Rabbit's food blows kilt out of the water, scenery isn't too bad either.  I'm not far from there and would be willing to house the dog, if you can't while we look for a perma owner.

also there is a pretty nice neighborhood just across 141 from the shopping center, may want to cruise over there.  It's directley across from the church on the corner of old 'bama and 141

Yeah I had the dog scanned for chips. For those of you who mentioned keeping the dog I'll drop you a message if you need be. Thanks.

John haven't I been to your house? Or is that another John on here, I can't remember the damn user names.
