It's a pandemic simply because it has spread across the world..... AIDS and HIV are a Pandemic as is the common cold.

The Swine Flu H1N1 isn't going to kill you outright if you follow the same basic steps as with the Common Flu.

Wash your hands, don't touch infected items or eat possible infected foods, cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, don't use your hands use your arm to cover you mouth while sneezing or coughing. You hands help spread the virus.

If you are in good clean health, keep track of your progress with the flu and contact you doctor when you start feeling ill. If you suffer from medical issues that can lead to complications with flu like symptoms. Contact your Doctor ASAP.

This death would have resulted if this person came in contact with the standard Flu Virus. The victim had a history of Asthma and Other Respiratory Issues. Doesn't sound like someone that wold do to well with any chest infection type cold or virus.

I'm more afraid of TB and Hep C..... that shit is common as hell in some parts of South Florida that's it's scary.... also both are much easier to catch then the Swine Flu H1N1 Virus.
