For anyone who's likes Star pistols it's in pretty nice shape.  It was there an hour ago.

Your post reminded me that I had not been in that store for several months, so I went today.  

Wow!  What happened to their inventory?    Down by at least a third to half of what it used to be.  Never seen it that low before and I have been looking and buying from them for over 15 years.

Hope it is not a sign of bad times for the store.

Been looking for a M43 for a while....just picked up a S&W 3914 at AJI for $340 otd instead

Their handgun inventory started dropping off around a year ago.  Scotty seems to want to stock very few new pistols and the used market just isn't there.  I asked him a few months back if there just were less used pistols, or if people were buying them as soon as they got to the store, and he said it was a little bit of both.

I used to regularly go in there and find 2 or 3 used pistols I wanted, lately I haven't found anything.  But if I was in the market for a single stack 9mm carry pistol, I might have picked up that Firestar.

The 3914 is an excellent pistol.  The main reason I didn't pick up the M43 myself is I've already got a 3913 and a 3953.

the 39' series has been on my wish list as well as the m43 for a while.

Funny, I stopped going to Mesa GS because they weren't interested in buying and had small inventory.  Too bad, they are just down the road from my shop.
