WTF! I talked to a few people here.  Nobody said anything about 2 copies of the form 4 that I can remember.  I was only sent one copy from my dealer.  I did two copies of the fingerprints.  If they want a copy of the form 4 why don't they just xrox the damn form 4?

Took them 3 weeks to send this back to me.  gonna be another 3-4 after I appease them and then I wait on the ATF.

Is this right?

Hey, I've had my forms returned before.... it comes with the territory.  If you don't want the hassle form a Trust or LLC.

Got my M16 forms back today.  Signed, no problems.

I paid attention in "NFA Forms 101" though.

For the 9mm.... if I am not mistaken.

FYI I dropped my form 1 off at Lt. Tracy's office.  He was there at the time and my buddy and I talked to him for a bit (he was also dropping off a form), he is a nice guy, likes guns and got our forms back VERY quick.

Got another M16 instead of an MP5.  I converted the SP1 RR to M16/9 instead of going with and Uzi or other subgun.

I am most familiar with the M16, so it made more sense.

This one is a factory M16A1.

No.

Supposedly, the state police will do finger prints for free and provide the cards.  However, they are never open to do it.  Well, at least the station on Braddock.

I get my cards from a Class III dealer.

Supposedly, the FBI sells them as singles but I have not found out how to get them that way.

My advice is to get at least 6 cards done when you do it.  Trust me, eventually you will need the other two sets.

NFA Branch personnel will tell you that a fingerprint card over 6mos old should be re-done.

I know people have sent in older ones, but I called to verify.

I like to play it "safe" when sending in "MONTHS LONG WAIT" paperwork.

I just sent in old crappy (over 1 year) prints.  They were smudged like crazy.  Must have been crappy ink when they were done.  I just wanted to get rid of em...  We'll see what happens.

Right.  However, you have enough toys to fill up most of your shooting time between now and next August, maybe September 2007, when they finally notify you that the fingerprints are jacked up.
