Steve Silverman from FR&I will be in Albany June 23-25 teaching his Level II Handgun Class. IMHO, Steve offers the best bang for the buck in live-fire training.
Here's the course description from http://www.f-r-i.com/classes.htm
The Level-II course (30 hours) covers the following topics:
Mental Awareness and Conflict Avoidance
Legal Ramifications of Lethal Force
Shooting While Moving
Tactical Movement
Multiple Assailants
Malfunction Drills
Night Shooting & the Proper Use of Flashlights
Drawing from the Holster
Emergency, Tactical, Speed and Administrative Reloads
Basic Disarming and Weapons Retention
Cost: $390
I took this class in 2003 in Austin, TX before it was taught in Oregon and it was well-worth the money even including air fare. I was amazed at how much I learned in such a short period.
Here's a link to a review of the course from Concealed Carry Magazine:

If anyone has any specific questions about the class, feel free to ask me. If I can get the time off work, I'll take the class again in June.
