NJ2AS Announcement

I realize I'm posting this on April 1st, but NJ2AS released this yesterday.  It looks real enough.  Essentially, NJSP will now issue FIDs electronically, cutting out the process of mailing the approval back to the local PD, getting them typed up, getting the chief to sign them, scheduling a time for you to pick up, etc.

Existing paper FIDs are still, and always will be, valid (for now, subject to change in the future).  This appears to be a SLIGHT incremental improvement.

FID Cards and your information were always at the mercy of each individual that handled them along the way in the process, just one anti-gun dickhead can dealy the ID for weeks.

This new system eliminates some "middle men", but there's always that human element to make you miserable.


We'll see.

how long until someone hacks into that system and either erases it or sells all the info to criminals?
sounds like a bad idea to me, like all other firearm registration ideas.
