How was the show? Thinking about going for a couple of items, but didn't want to waste my $7 and see that old hag at the door if it is as bad as they have been in the past. Anyone know if GA arms had any Gold Dots in 9mm and .45? Was the ammo can guy around? Thanks.

It was PACKED. I lugged around a Colt SP1 CAR but no takers. It was a lot cheaper than the butchered up crap on the tables but that is normal. Talked to Joe Kiser.

Missed a buy on a Ruger No3 in 223 with an older genuine Aimpoint for $450. Rifle was probably worth that buy itself. Turned right around to go back and get it and it was too late !! Don't really need it.

Bought some powder.

Came home.

My wife, my son, and I had a great time. I picked up a pack of gold dot 44 special from Georgia Arms along with everything else I got. Not sure about the 9mm or .45 (though they had a ton of stuff). I didn't get to stay nearly as long as I would have liked so I'm not sure about the ammo can guy.

I did manage to get everything I went for and then some. And, yeah, it was quite packed.

I thought about it for a while and decided not to go. Discretion is the better part of valor.

Other than working on my house, which I detest, I went to the show, met JKiser, and picked up my lowers and LPK. JK is a great person with whom to deal. I'm pretty certain I saw my next style AR build on his table....hurry up tax refund!

I purchased a glock 17. It was a toss up between the 17 and 19. The 19 felt too small in my hand. Now I need to get a new holster from Mike Benedict. This is my first Glock .

I could not find any 5.7 X 28 MM for my PS90, but that did not surprise me.

There seemed to be some decent deals on commodity stuff (Glocks, Springfield Armory, etc.)

I saw some rediculous stuff. I guy wanted $7500 for an HK SR9TC. with an Arms mount and so-so scope. This is about $3K-4K too much. I bought mine for $2800 about 12 months ago (I did get a heck of a deal). Some NFA stuff was about 30% more than going rate. Overall good show, very crowded too.

Somone puked in the floor today. Huge projectile vomit. Had a cop guarding it so no one stepped in it. Gag!

I thought it kind of odd that they didn't clean it up.

Was it "pre-band" puke?

I collect law enforcement patches and picked up two of them, Alabama trooper and Mississippi Hwy Patrol, for 75 cents each. That was the best deal there, for me.
