I plan on buying a Bushy upper receiver/barrel assemby flat top, and I'd like to attach an EOTECH 552 on the rail.My question for the NJ/NY locals: Do I need a front sight in conjunction with the EOTECH 552 or is the 552 a stand-alone sight ? I am looking at the 16" AK Heavy and 16" V Match assemblies. Input appreciated.BTH

wait till the shoot and you can try mine
actually i dont think its the 552 Its the NV compatible with the little batteries
it will co witness if thats waht you mean
hell maybe I will sell it to you as I dont have a use for NV compatibility.
I ran out of bullets sighting it in though
bt its close
i think as a standalone its a great sight
but i think its easier to sight in with the irons and then fine tune it

Yours is the EOTech 551 model. The 552 uses AA batteries.

I have used mine both ways. It is easier to use if you have the front sight, but you could get it on the money without it. I have the 552 NV also which uses the 2 AA batteries.
