no pics, but I find my self carrying less and less every day. I have three hyrnated disks in my lower back, one right over the sciatic nerve. no matter what holster I have it is just enough to throw it off enough that a day of carrying will cause that to ache to the point I have to take it off. I have tried several holsters and even tried making half a dozen of them to get around this. still hurts.
Sig p228 when I do, money clip with ID, car key (singular, no other keys), benchmade knife, fenix p2d (old) light. I don't even carry house keys any more since I have a code to get in the house. |

I think I am going to end up picking up a 42 to carry as a back up gun. I have some GSSF certs I can finally use once I turn 21 tomorrow!

The Glock 30S I carry when the weather is cooler, the Polish P64 I've carried a few times in the last week since I got the holster. The P64 is small and barely noticeable in this hot weather.

I have a pair of p64s and I think they weigh as much as a fill size! Shoulder harness and ankle really isn't practical in Georgia. |

They gave me a clean bill of health, but said to keep an eye out for problems. Been taking up squash at the gym with my wife and it has been good to go, but I took the kids to SkyZone yesterday and all it took was about 5-10 bounces on the trampoline and it felt like someone was poking me between the ribs in my lower back every time I landed. I unassed the trampolines and the wife restricted me to observation duty only. |

Just turned 36. But I have had this since high school. I installed kitchen cabinets to save money for college. 6' tall and any 135#s isn't the right body type to be slinging cabinets around by your self. What's a quick clip? The super tuck is the most comfortable for me. |

And the point of that is get it documented extensively in your medical records while on active duty....my last year on active I spent about 120 days on convalescent leave.... .....and make sure you get a copy of them if you get out.........if you have to take 'em somewhere and scan 'em oyurself. |

Dumb question, Shep- why don't you carry the same thing on and off duty?
If you carried a Glock on-duty, or a smaller Sig off-duty, then I could see it. But two completely different firearms? Is carrying your duty weapon off-duty a no-no? I just wanted some insight, that's all. |
|
Congratulations on the triple nickel. Do you know many of the other holders?
|
|
Moose, amongst other things, I'm prohibited by policy from locking my duty weapon in my vehicle. If I go to the gym, or to Kennesaw Mtn for a workout, I'm not allowed to lock my duty weapon in my truck. If it were stolen, I'd be in trouble. Additionally, I prefer a weapon-mounted light if possible. Not too mention that I try to keep my employer out of my off-duty life as much as possible.
We've got a bunch of Triple Nickel holders in the ATL FO. |
