I got permission to take a few pictures of this 1942 rebuilt C47. Enjoy!

Now that's what I call a C&R! Anyway, I just had to get a few snap shots. I used to work on AC130 ECM equipment in the 80's @ Duke Field, FL. We were a bit off the beaten path & got to see some pretty unusual stuff every now & then. As I recall, one morning a C47 landed & I recognized it immediately because I grew up on military bases and knew just about every single military airplane ever made. Anyway, the airplane that just landed was a Honduran Air Force AC47! It had 4 M2 Brownings pointing out the left 'passenger' windows, and under the belly was an IR ball. We did some overhaul/retrofit work on it & it left after a couple of weeks. That was probably the coolest & most unusual thing I saw while in the USAFR..
