I'm driving the entire length of the state today along I40. I need a range I can drop into and zero in my new Red Dot scope.

Heck, I need a range I can drop into, have them tell me if I have it mounted properly, and then shoot at. :p Just kidding about that last part.

Any ideas? I heard there was a good range in oakland... I need something with length.

Here is a range for you. It is about 8 miles off the interstate..the road you exit off the interstate is the road the range is on so very easy to get to. $5.50 for 2 hours shooting...open til 6pm but stops selling tickets at 5pm.

Uhmmm, no.

The Stones River Range is only open to the unwashed masses Fri/Sat/Sun.

However, the TWRA Cheatham Co. Range is open 7 days a week, from noon to sunset.

When you get to Memphis make sure you sit at all the long red lights with your windows down and doors unlocked, may not help with long range but you'll get to try the reflex part of your red dot.
