My wife just had to see Sara Evans, so we went to the Doug Co fair Tuesday night.  At the entrance there was a sign which stated that alcohol, firearms, and other concealed weapons were prohibited.  Did anyone else see the sign this week? I emailed the fairgrounds about it, as it is not correct nor legal.  Just curious if they removed it as I asked them to?

Can you help me out with this one?  In Arizona business owners and cities can post signs like that and the law is you have to respect that decision.  Is that not the case in Or.?

The fairgrounds is owned by the county.  Under the preemption statute, local governments can't prevent CHP holders from carrying there.  Private property owners can post and enforce such policies.
