I was there about 1015 today. It was packed!! The line for parking was all the way out on to Grand River Ave. The line for tickets was halfway down the lobby. There were a lot of people but not a lot of things for sale. Many of my usual gun dealers had hardly anything left in stock. A lot told me they have nothing to bring to Birch Run next week. I left with a lot of money remaining in my pocket

It's funny I also went to the show today ~10:20am and it seemed pretty good.  There was the typical imported junk, but there were also quite a few dealers and the (guns/ammo) pricing didn't look to bad.  It was getting very busy close to afternoon.
Either the economy has picked up, tax returns have been received or the 2012 theory is taking off.  I overheard that Randy's gunshop had a line four deep filling out purchase permits on Saturday and they still had a nice stock level on Sunday.  I suppose it all depends on what you are looking to buy.  I picked up a red-dot and a couple of ammo boxes, so it wasn't a total waste of time.

Randy's was one of the vendors running out of stock. They were down to less than 15 AR types. Glass cases that used to hold 15- 20 handguns were down to 4 or 5. The sales guy chuckled when I asked if they had any 870s. Maybe then brought down another truckload seeing how well things were selling. There were a few more vendors there selling ARs but they too appeared to be selling out even discounting the floor model.

I was shocked at how busy it was, too. I helped a friend set up his tables on friday, and came back around noon on saturday. The parking lot was full, but I had a vendor pass, and got in the back. It didn't help the parking that there was a wedding show and a medical marijuana show going on in the other halls . I saw some very good deals with the vintage guns I usually buy, but I had spent all my money at the Saline show before I got there.

I went yesterday, and was also surprised at how busy it was.  Got there about 10:30.

Some prices were OK, some others not so much.  There were a couple of guys that were very proud of their Garands and M1As, and the prices reflected that.

I did leave with a stainless SW1911 from Randy's though.  Checked when I got home, and it was a better price than Bud's.
