I was going to, but noticed 5.56 SS109ammo, any 50 cal BMG ammo, night vision, and any parts or accessories for "assault weapons" are prohibitted from being sent here. I guess I'm just pissed that even large distributors don't know the law here or are too scared to send anything down even though it's perfectly legal.

A new tent and some bags.

They wouldn't ship 10rd mags here, only 9rds or less.

I thought according to law, the receiving end must ensure the items ordered are legal, not the senders.

Because I live in Marin, I can't get ammo shipped here. head.gif And they have some good deals at times, too. I guess I could have a friend out of town order it for me but then he's gonna get bombarded with catalogs everyday like me. I really need to move to Nevada.

I'm not sure about the other items, but I bought some XM193 and .50BMG FMJ from Sportsmans Guide a few months ago without any issues (Los Angeles County). It also seems like it will allow me to purchase those same off the website as well.

Yeah, only a couple of counties, Marin included, apparently don't allow ammo to be shipped in. Look on the restrictions page. A couple years ago I could get it but the "rules" have changed recently I guess.

What's retarded is that every other ammo supplier will ship here no problem. But for some reason SG has a bug up their ass. They won't even ship knives or even gun PARTS.

XM193 is apparently fine with them. I believe they count SS109 as "AP" so it's against the law according to them (even though SS109 isn't restricted by CA). I'm surprised they shipped the .50 rounds. Maybe they disregard or don't pay attention to their own prohibited list. Actually after checking, the .50BMG ammo is called illegal in the Cheaper Than Dirt catalog. The ignorance is apparently spreading. All ammo is listed as prohibited in Sportsman (even the friggin snap caps!) for Marin County, Sacremento, Chicago, and NYC. Strangely enough, .223 tracers, which are illegal in CA, don't have the prohibited stamp on them for CA.

If you dont order from this cataloge it will be your last. This is your final notice.

They wouldn't even ship me a barrel for an M1, said it was a restricted item...WTF!?

LOL!

They're always sold out of whatever I wanted, even though I immediately called the day the catalog arrived. I just quickly flip through it now, and consider it another "junk" catalog.

I don't know about the rest of the state, but for L.A. County, any ammo with steel ie cores or jacket is a "bozo no-no." The reason is that the steel portions could strike a rock or something and spark, thus causing a fire.

If you're going to your favorite range, I would call them just to sure what is/isn't legal. Because you could be charged for fighting a brush fire. Besides it would just be neighborly to do the right thing in this instance, and also because the antis are looking for every stupid excuse to close down ranges, if you start a fire that could be one more straw in the antis favor.

Hahaha ... well the other day i order a cherokee M4 Cheek Piece and i got an email and a letter in the mail saying that it's not legal to ship it here in California. What a bummer. They also gave me a $5.00 discount couple. Suck isn't it?
