Ok so I know this has been asked many times in regards to Disney parks but I am wondering about the hotels.  In the past whenever having to go to Disney, in an effort to give them as little of my money as possible, I have always stayed on hotels off site.  In those cases I have always carried during the drive to Orlando and doing everything except for when entering the parks.  However for my youngest daughter for her birthday this June we will be staying at a Disney hotel.  I have tried to search in regards to bringing firearms but haven't found anything on here.  I have found via google that Disney "prohibits" it and in an article or via a forum it was stated that it was not unusual to see police with dogs yada yada.

Anyone on here have any recent experiences?  I see from the past they use to allow firearms but wanted guests to check them at the front desk lol.  But that was ended years back and I believe their policy is no guns.  Typically I would say concealed is concealed but not sure how proactive they are in sniffing out people with firearms.  I have heard the stories of guards in Disney Springs questioning people based on their clothes etc and forcing them to either lock up their pistol in their car or leave.  Right now I do not have a safe to lock a pistol in my car and to be honest I don't feel comfortable leaving a pistol in my car even if it is locked.

I'm carrying everytime i go to a disney hotel for dinner or when we do overnight stays. They have safes in the rooms to secure it while you go to the parks. Theres no checks at the hotels, just the parks currently.  If you are asked in your carrying while at disney springs just say no. Cause they have profiled guys out there. As long and your permit is in good standing the. Your good to go at the hotel or springs by law. But remember if they ask you to leave its private property so you will need to. If you admit to security you are carrying at springs they will ask you to leave and give you a ocso escort off.

There was a piece on the local news a couple of nights ago (Monday?) about added metal detectors property wide so you may want to see if you can find it to review it for yourself. I think it was on channel 6 WKMG I'm sure it was probably on all of the news outlets telling everyone how safer they were making it for everyone

Those metal detector points are for boarding buses or monorail to the parks. They are trying to streamline the process at the park. So if your staying at the Polynesian for example you will do your bag check before getting on the monorail. So when you get to the mk you go right in. People parking at mk parking for example will do the bag check befor etaking the boat or monorail over. They are not going to meatl detect you going to your hotel room.

Ok that is what I was concerned with.  I figured I would carry during the drive from home to the hotel and lock it in the room when I go to the parks etc.  The last thing I wanted was to get thrown out of the hotel for my daughter's birthday lol

I was there about a month ago and the only checks were at the parks. I know they are checking
at places on the way to the parks like at the conveyance entry points to the parks. But no checks
at Disney Springs.
