I hope their shotgun suppressor works.  The second design is looking good.
Update:  quieted the Saiga down to 144db.  Dunno how good that is for a can.  Paging Septic for his 2¢ worth.

check youtube.  there are some shotgun suppressors on there.

Both OSHA and MIL-STD-1474D state that hearing protection MUST be used if the sound pressure levels of firearm noise are 140 dB or greater. This is specified in Requirement 4 of MIL-STD-1474D. While it is true that a sound level of 145 dB is not nearly as harmful as one of 160 dB, exposure will still cause damage. Once the damage has occurred, it is forever and will not come back. Further, MIL-STD-1474D has specific requirements for metering equipment, which eliminates the Radio Shack types of meters.

Most supressed AR's are below 140db.

I think all LE entering places with long guns need to use suppressors. Just from what I read it makes communication easier, less flash, and less startle response from other LE.

I got the shows TiVo and heading to watch now.

I would love to be able to suppress a shotgun. My 1100 would look lovely

not bad.....  144 is better than 145, lol....  we like to see them down in the mid 130s if possible - rated and tested within a few feet of the muzzle.  that essentially gives the shooter (in bolt action anyway) something down towards a heard 120 or less...  not bad.

the big problem with shotgun suppressors is size.  they are so big that unless you offset your bore they are damn hard to see over...

No one said anything about the second episode that aired on the first day. Their project was the "Master key". Shotgun mounted under a M16.

As the prior post alluded, they did it using a Saiga. Their business is going to tank some if the ATF ever gets their way and says the Saiga is not sporting and stops importing it.

My guess is they saw that coming and decided the extra TV income would be a good way to transition them into something else.

Also for what they are charging for a cut up Saiga with a inverted rail mounted welded to it shows how much money you 'could' make doing this if the market was there.

Super Sweet

Has that shield been shot at already or just treated rough?

I'm not sure.  Romper probably remembers if this is the one that got shot......
