I live pretty close Cav Arms and it looked like there was a fire at the business last night.
Any news? |
Shit I hope not! I just called the business line and the anwering machine came on stating their normal business hours - they don't open until 10:00am. At least their answering machine still works! |
I hope NOT!
Can somebody call Shawn and find out if everything is OK? |
I was wondering what happened. I drive by there every morning on the way to work and there were fire trucks and a bunch of COP cars and a lot of water on the street. I hope everything is OK.
You should have grabbed some stuff! |
Not funny the first time. Still not funny. |
Thanks for the information. If they get a volunteeer crew to clean up,tell Shawn I will send the beer. |
Mark, cut it out. This insinuates that Derek had anything to do with the fire, and is NOT funny! |
I'm sure everyone understands it's a joke. I like both Shawn and Derek. But Shawn is my fav... being an AR guy and all!
I am very tired. I just got done boarding up some doors and getting the guns secured. The Firefighters did an AWSOME job and saved our asses. Depending on when they get the power back on, we shouldn't be down long. We'll have an armed attach monkey camping out at the shop for the next few days...
Also...I was on TV (and saw myself)... why didn't youy guys tell me I was getting so fat?
Good to hear your shops are okay. btw... the camera adds 10 lbs. |
Just in case any of you guys were worried about AMEETEC.......we escaped unscathed also...thanks to the curageous firemen and police officers. Rest of the building is fucked though..
I just got home also, been up all night with Shawn. Firefighters are my new heros. I hate to be the rookie who had to clean all those hoses. Walk in traffic for Ameetec will be the only thing affected in the immediate future. We'll try to get back up as soon as Electric and the OK from the powers to be approve it. Thanks for everyones concerns, I wasnt on the news cause i know im fat, nobody has to tell me. LOL.
P.S. send beer to: Scott@ameetecarms. oh wait. umm...... we'll have a party at a later date. We'll call it: Ladder trucks save gun companys ASS's(2) party. |
great to hear guys i will be sending some beer over when the grand reopening happends
Exactly how many cameras were on him? Bah dahm bahm! Try the veal! I'm here til Thursday!! |
Good to hear both places are OK! |
Haven't you been to the PhotoShop forum recently? Kidding. Glad you guys (and the biz) are O.K. |
You ain't right. |
Master of the Obvious! |

87 of course!! |

Glad to hear you guys are ok. I heard the report on the radio this am and the first thought was "I hope everyones ok" then I thought "I hope their places don't get fried", then I thought.........."FIRE SALE!"
... Got up to work in California today @ about 4:30AM.
... Saw the location on the morning news at 5 and immediately thought of my Cavalry Arms friends. The thing I didn't catch, but my girlfriend did - "a cabinet shop". ... I knew they were to the east of Shawn's place, but I was still concerned. Looks like things will be alright - cool. |
Let me guess... TREETOP stopped by and forgot his backpack?
TRG |
Tell an AR shooter he's getting fat??? they may be crazy they ain't stupid (well most aren't) |
glad your shop is not a molten pit of plastic lava.....
if you guys need ANYTHING don't hesitate to ask. and let me know when all the free beer arrives and i'll come entertain the troops.... |
Glad all is well.
Hang in there. IM me if you need anything. We use a couple of differnat restoration companys at work if you need one. |
Shawn,
Glad to hear you are all ok. If you need an extra attack monkey Saturday night until Sunday am if your still not 100% secure by then let me know I'm avail. -John |
So the cabinet shops were destroyed? Buddy of mine had his cabinets in the shop that faced to the east.
+1 on anything I can do to help. My tools and my hands and my knowledge are at yall's service, 100% free of charge. Please don't pay anybody anything to get back up running. We've got your backs, guys. We'll get some beers together and assign some tasks, and we can everything back to normal in no time at all.
Hey,
I'm in for some cleanup work! I USED to be a Janitor! Thank GOD Cavarms/Ameetec didn't burn! Firesale? New Smoke scented cav lowers? |
Glad to hear that everyone is alright and very minimal damage to Cav and Ameetec!
Glad to see that the damage was minimal to your guys shops.
BTW... I noticed the news van in the picture right in front of your shop. Was there any "angle" to the news coverage of the fire near a couple of "assault rifle" shops? Seeing as how this is the heart of the "Uzi Triangle", did the reporters have any raised eyebrows when they found out what your guys' shops were producing? |
Thanks for all the offerings, hopefully we can go back in the shops monday, and hopefully everything is still intact.
I'm sure i speak for Shawn and the rest of the Cav boys when I say, we really appreciate the kind words and the help being offered. If we need something we will be sure to post. As for the reporters, I didnt talk to any of them, Im anti-media, plus I didnt shave in 5 days when they were interviewing. From what i heard, they just thought we were gun shops. Not manufacturers. Again thanks to everyone who posted and asked to lend a hand.[ |

Did that little car shop move out of the N.W. corner of the building? (I haven't been there in a while)
Kevin |
"Human interest" stories............ |
NW side of the building is now Ameetec, the car detail shop did move back in march/april of last year.
It wasn't me!
Damn, I never thought about the possibility of being incinerated while routering handguards... |
Call me at the shop...480-833-9685 |
