My wife and I are driving up this afternoon to pick up her race packet for tomorrow's race on Wright Patt. We'd like to have dinner while were up, but we'd really like to not spend a lot. I like to hit local places when I'm away from home as opposed to going to a chain restaurant at which I can eat at home anytime. Any restaurant recommendations?

The Grub Steak
2098 S. Alex Road
West Carrollton (just north of 725)

I would guess 725 is roughly a mile or two north of the exit for 675 off of 75.  Hang a left off the light for 725.  Go down725 a couple miles, and hang a right at Alex Rd. (3rd traffic light I think), and Grub Steak is right on your right.

Friday nights is clam chowder night if you like that.  Usually thick enough to hold a spoon upright, gooooooood stuff.  Wifey likes the chicken royale, I always go for the royal ribs (ok, they aren't ribs, I think they are boneless pork loin).  For the two of us (generally minus drinks) it's about $32 or so.  If you like garlic, try the house salad dressing too.

Ajanta India in Kettering is awesome for lunch buffet. Get a mango shake while you're at it for yummy goodness.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE Across the street from the Nutter Center.
Best steak in town.
I recommend the 11oz sirloin cooked (medium).
Never had a bad meal there and I've eaten there about 100 times.

My wife and I love that place also. I don't think we've been there 100 times, but close too it. Also, I think this is a chain?

I usually go for the 8 oz. sirloin with the loaded baked potato and chili.
