Thought I'd post this here, rather than in the more general columns, since i've personally had contact w/some of y'all.

I don't usually advertise the fact that I've owned a select fire AR for 25+ years.  Acquired an SP1 carbine that had been "M16'd" back in 1976. and had it turned into an XM177E2 clone.

The problem, of course, has always been to find ranges that I could use it full auto, so I've either left it home during shooting sessions, or just left the switch on semi when I did take it out.

Now, since I have access to the State Patrol range adjacent to the state Crime Lab, I can rock and roll to my hearts content.  Had the thing out last Saturday, and it was great to flip that switch all the way 'round

Another good reason for having moved.

Too cool.  Let me know if you ever need someone to help you carry ammo to the range.

Actually, limited places to shoot FA stuff keeps me from buying.  I'd rather have a suppressor I can shoot anywhere (including my back yard; don't tell the neighbors though ) than a machine gun that sits in the safe.

I have a 9mm subgun, hard to find a place to shoot. Full-auto makes sheeple nervous.
