Pa Danby (USC '75) complete with USC stickers and California plates survived foray into Texas this morning.  Driving with son from Southern California to South Carolina.  I-40 to Amarillo 287 to Wichita Falls, visited friend and Shepard AFB and took 79 to Waurika and Oklahoma.  I will admit to open carrying very briefly in AZ, for the few hours from Kingman to Winslow.

OC to Gallup Day 1, Gallup to Wichita Falls Day 2, sorry didn't have time to stop and say Hey.  Maybe next trip.  Ma Danby hasn't driven cross country and want's to.  Gonna take 40 east  and then 95,20 and 10 back.

Toured the fire areas up south of Duncan, OK  today.  Pray for rain you guys.  It got really nasty up here.  BTW vinyl fencing and vinyl siding doesn't do well in fires.

Next year in Pasadena.

South out of duncan,  Genuflected at Halliburton Finance Headquarters and the Statue of Erle H.  Figured least I could do for any company and name the pisses off so many demcrats.

81 to 287 to 20 in Ft. Worth drove all day to Vicksburg. Finally got to see the USS Cairo exhibit.

Must admit all the things I've sed about you baja oklahoma boys, nobody tried to pizen  me till I got South Caraolina. Then my son suggested I try the Grits and Shrimp.  Grits are good, Shrimp are good but but not mixed together.

Ma Danby keeps threatening to come along on one of these cros country drives and we may drive through again this fall.  May even have a chance to see some sites and Arfcommers. or at least get her some good bbq.
