Met Jon Dillon many years ago when he gave a wide eyed broadcast major a tour of the station he was working at and bit of time to pick his head on the business. Corporate radio strikes again.

Too bad, I loved how he would play a song, then drop a little story about how the song was made, or history behind the band's work on the album.

Years and YEARS ago, I used to listen to Bill Mack on WBAP. You could hear his show all over the United States. At some point, he and WBAP fell out, and Bill went to XM Radio, and now XM Radio has got rid of him --
So I guess this isn't the first time a DFW icon has been canned. |

COLA-820 was the phone number for Bill Mack at WBAP in the 70's and probably earlier.
