Sadly, I have agreed to go to a real live rifle match next weekend. As most of you know I am a collector and not a marksman. I have to go to my range in Mebane and site in some old iron this Tuesday. I would be happy to host two guest as long as the snickering is kept to a minimum.

Manchester SC and it is a WWII rifle match 50rd's at 100 yrds 4 firing positions. I am going to get slaughtered

I'll make sure you don't fall asleep in the prone position. Just depends on how much ammo I have left after this weekend's class with Viking Tactics ( http://www.vikingtactics.com ). I must have gone through 600 rounds today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

I may be able to make it out, late in the AM. What time? You don't need to count me against your guests. It would be a good excuse to get out the K-31.

u232, I've never seen the one-hand shoot up in the air position. Is that NRA approved?

Very long weekend. I shot 266 out of a possible 500 and placed 4th in my division (much better than I thought I would do). The Manchester range in SC has NC beat BAD. It was one of the nicest ranges I have ever shot at. Beautiful country too. I hope to get another chance to shoot down there.

ETA: I just looked at the scores again. I actually shot 288 out of 500. Watch out olympics here I come.

Congrats on the shoot. It was fun Tuesday morning. We'll have to schedule another time.

So was it 30 rounds out of 50 that went bang.

Sounds like you had fun. Time for me to go to some matches. The last match I went to was in 91.
