My favorite place to shoot BTW....................

Interstate 75 directions......

Up 75-north to exit 53 and take a right at the light, then left on Highway 5, go about 150
yards and take a right on FM 902, follow it out for about 8 miles or so then take a left on
Joe Bob Rd. then left into second rock driveway.......Ralph's Range.

Full auto, FMJ, Tannerite, shoot from the holster, shoot on the move friendly. Just follow common sense firearms rules, respect Ralph's property, clean up after yourself, and pay at the range shack (honor system) on your way out.

Camping, bonfires, and all night drinking may be out, but a day of shooting and the possibility of a BBQ does sound good.

I just moved to DFW recently and I'd love to come out and shoot sometime.

I'm getting a new upper next week that I may need to bring out and break in too.

There was a shoot at Ralph's just a couple of weeks ago. None of you guys saw the post?

Ralphs in Tom Bean

We went up to Ralph's yesterday.

I always wondered what the berm looked like when it had grass on it!

As usual... we had the place to ourselves.  I figured with the MG fire, Ralph would have at least stopped by.  He was probably having dinner with his family or some such.    As it was around 17:30ish...

Mickey told me group shoots / camping is allowed down at the river...

I have to agree with FAL.

HRT and ETH (I still refer ETH in the presence tense) are the two drivers that I know whom don't worry about any consequence of speeding ticket.  One would say  something ".....official business...."; other claims to know all the judges from Dallas to Crowell, Tx.

Nah, ETH would just give the deputy the ol' secret Mason handshake.

I'm good to go guys if you ever figure out a place. I'm all for shooting, but being able to put the guns away and pull out the beers around the tent certainly has its merits too.

I'd love to come out and shoot and learn some more.

another suggestion is a tailgate BBQ

As of right now, I'm free that weekend. As far as grilling goes, I took this to the Juneteenth shoot in Houston and everyone brought stuff to cook on it.  I could bring it if it would help.
(It does have the Texans logo on the front so hopefully I won't get shot in Dallas with it)

I do have a Toll Tag; what I meant was "at least I pay my tolls" instead of being the scofflaw who drives on through and then ignores the NTTA warnings and fines for several years.

Falarak doesn't pay the trolls?

BTW, it might be rumor, but I have heard that they are doing away with the trollbooths and will just start billing using the license plates if you don't have a NTTA or a TexTag, and that people using to the tollways with out of state plates will be ticketed of they do not have a tolltag.

I'm in agreement with the idea that some type of camping with some beer drinking after the shooting is in order.  Nothing against Ralph's, I love the place, but sucking a few brews and BS'ing after the shoot is where you really get to to know folks.

There HAS to be someplace...

Ralph will allow adult beverages on site ... after the firearms are put away .... so that is still an option, lighting is available for the evening also
Thats a good thing.  Heck I'll be there.

I'll trade some sort of food substance for beverages.  I think I have about 40 different brands of beer in the fridge right now (various singles, etc) that might be interesting...

If not, oh well, I'll see if I can get some ammo ordered and in by the time of this.

Isn't it around Howe, or fairly close?  My uncle says there is a range around there too.
