a Glock rear sight tool on the west side of Cincinnati?

Just got a set of 10-8 sights for my G17.

I called three local shops and they would/could not promise a quick turn around.
This is my work gun so I need it done in one day.  I'm an armored car guard not a LEO so no armorer's help.

How hard is it to install them myself? I read the directions and it seems straight forward.
I have no specialized tools, but it doesn't seem like you really need them but would be way easier with them.

Thanks in advance.

I've always just used a brass punch and hammer.
For Trijicon sights the 3/16" nut driver was the hardest to find.
Had to grind mine down to fit through the opening in the slide.

FWIW,

I'd find out which local police or sheriff department has issue Glocks. Then, call 'em up and ask 'em if their armorer does any "side jobs" or public work. Ask around.

I know nobody likes Arms and Accessories on Harrison and Northbound, but they are a Glock Shop, I was in there the other day and they were replacing sights on a glock. Either that or Take it to the gun show today in Dayton.

Actually, They were the first store I called.  I do like them. They are my go to gun store.  Partly because of proximity, but also because I liked Jack (the previous owner) and Dave (current owner) and Charlie (Glock Armorer) are good guys.
I was told that if I dropped it off 'today'(Friday), it'd be ready by the middle of next week. I guess they're that busy.

For what its worth, I was told pretty much the same thin when I talked to Dan at Loveland Shooter's Supply.

I wish I could get to the fun show.

You wouldnt believe it, but I finished putting everything back together, thermostat and new thermostat housing, new radiator on a dodge ram. Had to take the alternator and AC off just to clean the area, and then I heard the thunder. Packed everything up and just as I got inside it started lol

Damn...I wish I had seen this the other day.  I could have taken your slide up to the show and had 'em do it there.  I used to have photos on my website of a home made sight pusher that somebody did for their SIG.  I'll see if it's still there and post the link.

Edited to add images.

One thing I remember is that the machine screw is brass and he beveled the end of it to not scratch up the sight.  You could also put a scrap of leather between the screw and sight.

Who did the work? or did you build a rig?

I did it myself.
My rig was the slide wraped in some cardboard in my vise.
To push the old rear out I used a common screwdriver.
To push the new one in I used a philips jammed into a spent 22 case.

Honestly, the hardest thing is to just nut up and do it.
I had to stop thinking the thing is fragile.
